So I’ve noticed on a few first gens I’ve seen around have the part between the main and lower grill is painted and others I’ve noticed have an actual piece clipped in. Anyone know anything about that? What the part would be called and where I could get one?

 

I've seen what looked like paint. Never seen the attachment.

yeah I’ve seen a lot of Scions have it painted but check out this pic. It looks to me like it’s a clip or something. I mean looks really nice and I would love to find one.

 

Thanks for the pics. I see what you mean. The black center section has a topographic effect. Plasti-dip is thicker than paint but I don't know if it stands out as much as the pics.
