Ok so I decided to finally do something besides my windows tinted and just add something small to the car. I looked at a DIY emblem painting thing. My car is bsp so i bought this duplicolor paint called black metallic or something (almost perfect with the car color for anyone who wants to try this). I was also gonna paint the insides of the letters white, but i could tape and cut them out and it looked bad so i forgot about that. Overall it looks great.I would recommend this to anyone who wants an easy DIY job. Try it!

Ill have them tomorow....its was dark by the time i finished. It's very easy to do, take off,sand,paint,and put it bakc on....takes a while if you mess up like me though

Well heres the emblem i did yesterday. In real life it dosent look like this. It actually sparkles or w/e like the car. All i had was a camera phone so thats why it looks like this.

No man in my opinion it looks great. I was gonna paint the big S white only too but it just looked out of place. Like i said if i couldve taped off the letters in the middle than it would have looked great but i love it. Also just a thought, the tape to put it back on had a red covering over it before you take it off....and an all red logo on a bsp tc might look cool? idk just a thought?

 

Only one way to find out. I say go for it. What's the worst that could happen? You'd have to paint it back to the color it is now.

 

So i found a few spots i missed on the emblem this morning and decided tot ake it out and try the whole s part white again. I reall hope it works out for me ....if i dont like it...back to all black

How did you cut out those letters? Its so hard to do....i tried it a couple of times and eventually gave up.

 

i used model car paint and a thin paint brush.. then clearcoated teh whole thing a few times

 

Yeah cutting the letters is so hard. Ill try with a think brush.

 

Ok so the repaint worked great.....after much stress. It looks better than yesterday....and i decided to go all blakc again. Good luck whoever tries this....its easy but frustrating.
