Anybody experiencing bad windshield pitting, sandblasting, or chips? Do they seem to be occurring at a faster rate than you have experience with other cars?

 

The glass is pretty 'soft' but depending on the road conditions, it can easily increase that rate. I'm on the highway everyday...everything has chips, pits, and what not.

This kind of deals with the weak paint issue, wear and tear...unfortunately.

 

Ya, after a year and half I had to replace the winshield. It developed a large heat crack one day this summer sitting in the parking lot...And the cracked winshield had a lot of chips from the highway.

 

mines is 1.5 years old and has already cracked (got it repaired) and has tons of pits and chips. it;s hard to see when the sun shines. it's ridiculous but i deal with it. i'll change it out eventually. more important things on my plate right now.

 

i have a rock chip that spread to about 15 inches... but its on my passenger side so it doesnt bother me when im driving... been like that for a yr now... still havent changed it out

 

How bad is your windshield chipping or pitting? Do you realize it is doing it at a much faster rate than other cars you have owned?

 

i don't think the rate has really changed at least for me.

it really does depend on driving conditions though...

 

my windshield looks like its got tiny specks all over it when the sun shines on it... and for some odd reason... the glass seem's hecka hard to clean too.
