Default Got Moisture in the VRD's

so yesterday there was like a torrential downpour while i was getting my paycheck and i was forced to go through a puddle that had to have been 2 or 3 feet deep and fully submerged my fogs so now ofcourse theres moisture in them is there anything i can do to fix this other then getting new ones completely ive looked up some methods online im going to try like using silica gel packs to absorb the moisture but im wondering what you guys owuld reccomend?

Take out all the bulbs and leave them in the sun on your dash...

silica gel packs?? i get moisture in my passenger side fog when it rains here.. watching to see if anyone has any methods of keeping water out of these fogs....

got some fogging in my awhile back, took them out and put electrical tape on the back then put the rubber boot back on and then some more where the wires run through the boot and I haven't had any problems since.

you know those little pack things that comes in alot of electroniic device packages or food packages that cant get wet well the gel things absorb moisture and i was reading on an rsx forum that thats how some people are getting hte mositure outta there headlights and foglights so i might try that

that little pack will cause the inside of your light to change color from the chemicals

the insdie of the light? im not oging to leave the pack in while the bulbs are in im going to take the bulbs out let the fogs sit for a while and take the packs out...will that change the color?

drain water then buy a BIG mountain bike inner tube. Like 2.25-2.5" inflated size if you can. Cut tube into 6" lengths. squeeze one end over foglight end, let wires hang out the other. ziptie both ends like a ****.

im not sure what you mean by squeeze one end over foglight end... have you done this?? you have pics?

you could alwyas use some high temp silicon on the back or some caulking

I've done it, no pics. The back of the fog light where the bulb goes is round and extends about 1" before the glass flares out to the front. You pull the section of innertube over that and the rest hangs towards the wires. ziptie both ends of the tube tightly.
