Default Got my first fix-it ticket today!

Yep, well I was driving home on Arden and Exposition blvd and saw two cops on motorcycles in the shade looking out for a reason to give out a ticket. I happen to cruise past them and one of the officers pulled out and followed me. Flash his lights and I pulled into a gas station. He didn't say anything about my HKS muffler, but he said I didn't have a front licence plate!!! I thought that my muffler was too loud, but it wasn't that. Gave me a ticket and he asked me a little about Scion. He seems to have given out tickets to other scion drivers before because he seem to know quite a bit about Scion. I think the cops are looking out for Scion drivers.

He asked if I had anything in the engine. I said "no" and he didn't check it. Got my ticket and I was on my way. He also told me to look for cops by Starbucks to get my ticket signed off, which is kinda funny.

So what do I do now?

go to starbucks and get it written off
you're also extremely lucky that he didn't pop your hood because that CAI is a big legal no-no and especially if u lie to them...you're very very lucky. Another thing...the HKS is far from illegal...it's decibal output is only 89dcb and the legal limit is i think 95 (between 92 and 95 at least)
Good job though on finding one of the few nice CHP's out there...it's a rarity

Yeah he asked about the hood but took my word for it. Thankfully! That Injen intake would've gotten me in bigger trouble if he'd seen it.

take it to the dealer and have them put it on free of charge they dont put on a bracket, they just drill holes at the little cut outs on the bumper and screw in the plate.

Also TongMan...

Why is a "Scionlife sticker" listed under your "Performance Mods" and how much of a difference did it make?

ok... just listen to the man and get it signed off.
if cops are like what i've dealt with before.. they like to joke around.

but yeah.. you just have to watch out and be familiar with the ones that don't..

license plate bracket is the way to go... if there aren't any holes in your front bumper.. than you're lucky.. and do what you can to keep it that way... but front plate.. yeah... put it on.. whatever that works

You tell me...put one on and let me know cause i don't have the money to do a dyno...

Hey Nemesis, I think I saw your car driving on US50 about two weeks ago going South. Saw a black tC with the same spoiler and the Injen Exhaust with the Injen Licence plate frame. If you remember driving behind a RS2.0 and then pulling up beside it on the freeway and then ditching it, it's probably me.

BTW, if it's really you, did you wanna race me?

if he had popped the hood and saw the intake, i highly doubt he would have towed it, usually they will tow your car 1) if your a jerk 2) if you were racing.......
most likely they will just issue a fix it ticket. well atleast here they would. Cops here dont have time to sit and wait for a tow, unless they feel you are a hazard to the road. IE: no insurance registration or suspended or revoked license.
