Default Graphics

what's the preferred method of applying graphics to your car? Vinyl or paint? i was looking at the gallery on the scion site, and one of the things that caught my eye about this car when it came out was the graffiti artists doing their work on the cars.
what's the average cost of side panel graphics?
as a designer i most definitely need the exterior of my car to be hot and totally custom by me.
advice?

theres not a really a template to use. just use a photo of the side of the car and go from there. vinyl has enough give that when you encounter a curve you can shape it to how you like.

only thing i would recommend is that if you work at kinkos, dont use their vinyl. as far as i know they use the cheapest type possible and im assuming you want yours to last a few years. better vinyl will be 2x as much but you wont regret it. happy vinyling!

Go with vinyl. For the cost of a high quality re-spray you can wrap your whole car with vinyl several times.

The best line to take is the natural crease down the side right under the side windows. Look around on the photo threads or search for graphics on here and then basically work of of someone else's look. Don't copy, but use their lines as a template. And measure measure measure! I did some work for a truck at work and it took a few times to get it right.

we use gsp brand, which is one of the leaders in vinyl. if it's printed on though, it could be that the print is being rubbed from lack of a clear coat.
i had some stickers on my last car and they survived alot of weather.

thanks for the advice.
