halo/led wiring question
I spliced the wire that goes to the parking light, and twisted it around with the 4 wires from the halos/leds and put a connector on top of it. Is that ok? I mean its working, but is it going to last? Is it safe?
Also, If i get the fogs w/the halos, could i add the fog halo wire with the above wires? and just splice the lowbeams and add the foglight wires?

My Fog lights i just got last week had Halos the wires came from the fog/halos to a fuse box, to a relay, then only two wires go into the car itself. the 2 wires hooked up to the switch it came with. the switch then had a ground and a power cable. I spliced one of the brown cables for the parking light and grounded the other like normal.
I dont know if that will help you at all or not but i tried.

ok, theres 2 wires that run to the parking light bulb, i cut that, stripped the wires on both ends, then twisted them back together, along with 4 other wires which run to the halos and leds. everything is working fine, but is it safe and will it last?
so what im trying to say is that my halos and leds are running off the wire that connects to the parking light bulb (i dont have the parking light bulb in though cuz i think it looks like crap).
blah, im at work and not sure where my camera at home is......... idk how else to describe it. the 2 wires (power/ground) that run to one of the parking lights (the way it is stock) is now also powering my halos and leds on one side.
If the parking light wire is 12 volt when on this is the diagram you will need
bosch 12 volt relay
pin 8712 volt constant
pin 86 12 volt switched from parking light
pin 85 ground
pin 30 output to halos
pin 87a not used
This way the parking light circuit only energizes the relay and the relay powers the halos.

no need for a relay, they dont draw that much if there led.. im talking 150ma max.. which is no where close to the call for an relay.. seriouisly... thats just a waste of time and money.
no need to cut the wires though, a simple red t-tap woulda worked just fine. the red part clips over the cars wiring, then you put a male spade conector on the accesory and boom, your done.. that way you dont muck up the factory wiring.. cant hardly tell anythign was hooked up...
