What do you guys think about this mod: Flush mounted LED light bars in the holes on the RS1 lip? Similar to these:

 

I dunno, I might give it a try. It'd be like the DRLs that I see on the Audi S5s and R8s

 

The only thing I'm worried about is trying to find the perfect fitting pair of LED bars, at least these have the dimensions, so I'll measure tomorrow.

edit: Okay, so my measurements were 8" wide and ~1" tall. So these LED lights would be a little too narrow to fill the space all the way

that would be interesting....but i think those lights are kinda too bulky to fit...

I'll take some more detailed measurements tomorrow when I can park my car on a flat surface rather than backed into my driveway where my lip is almost touching the ground. I'm thinking that it'll work better with an flexible LED strip from Oznium or something like that as there's not much room behind the lip for a large module.

The RS6 lights look awesome, but I'm not sure these will look as good.

I'm gonna order some Oznium flex strips to see if I can fit them in there. Or maybe I'll stop by Pepboys or Autozone later today to see if they have anything I can fit behind that space

 

This is quite funny that i just ran across this.. i just got in.. from a buddy's house installing his ingall rear bar.. when i saw these on a GTI.. i actually did a double take.. wasn't bad.. wasn't good.. was so so.. but it did catch my attention lol. kinda neat though.
