Has anyone painted the Fig Upper Grille?
Hey guys, I planned on buying the fig engineering upper grille, but don't want to pay $30 for a coat of paint. Would this be easy to paint myself? Also, since I don't need a lower grille, how will this one look with a stock lower grille(I plan on putting the VVT-I emblem on it as well)? Thanks!
A while back I did that on my other tC (my 2006) myself.
I did a medium red with an anodized finish and it turned out really well.
The only negative thing that I had with it is that even with a few coats of clear... over time the finish started getting chips in it, which I wasn't surprised because being on the front of the car, it has to take all of the crap that gets kicked up that's on pretty much any road that you can drive with a car. So when that started happening to mine... I took the color back off and sprayed it back to a matte black because I didn't want leave it looking like crap.
