Well I got into a little accident, got my car back and they removed the some of the scratches. But it seems they can be removed even further with a lower grit paper. How low of grit do I need to get, I read the lowest around 800 will it be enough? or can I go lower? Then work my way up until 2000 or 3000? I need to wetsand on all the grits im gonna use? I got some Meguiars PlastX for the polish. I just wanna know how what grits do I use to remove the scratches even further.

nvm you already have it, but try using it first might be better than sanding it down.

I have repaired scratched headlights before and the lowest I have gone is 500 grit then worked my way up to 3000.

 

Think with the 500 and working my way up will make the scratches less noticable?

Yes it will make the scratches less noticable even might remove them, if you start with 500.

 

thats gonna be an easy fix. I had a fingernail catching scratch on my new headlights when I bought the car and I worked from 500 up to get it out. Took a lot of elbox grease and plast-X but you can't even see it anymore.
