Default headlight wiring not working

I'm starting to fix all the things that I have let go unfixed while bringing her back to stock. My driver headlight assembly wont work, from my running lights to low beam and high beams, I have been running my HIDS off of my foglight for the driver side. Is there a fuse or something or do I need to go further and check my wiring? I can't work on my car where I live so I have to make a list and try to knock it out in one day at a shop where a guy just talks trash about your car if it's not a V8 stang. Where should I start?

1. check the fuse box by the battery (look under the cover to see which are for the L&R low/high beams)
2. check the socket of the wiring harness for the low/high/parking lights to see if it's disconnected or burned, if burned then just order a new one through trdsparks for like $15 and hopefully that is the problem.
3. also check the sockets to make sure they aren't burned out
4. take it to a different shop if you can so you won't have to hear the guy talk about his life with v8 stangs

I'll check it tomorrow. By shop I meant navy hobby shop where you pay 4$ and can use Their lifts and air tools and everything. He always has his head in everyones stuff. I'll check the fuse i tried to see where the wiring loom that had the high/Lo connections went but I gave up after I started to drip sweat. Thanks for the help.
