hey everyone i have this big issue with my 07 scion tc..i bought the blue headlights for mine and i installed them well after about 2 weeks of having them in my driver side stopped working so i looked at my headlight and seen that it was black on the inside of it like it was burning the plug..what could be the issue?

 

yea u bought regular hyperwhite type of bulbs they get hot and will burn ur headlight u should get hids if u want that look. but the watts on it are to high and theyll burn out ur harness so becareful NEVER get regular hyper white type bulbs imo

get sum HIDs. i got them for sale 90shipped =) any kelvin and size u want

they were drawing too much current and it heated up the wires.

i upgraded to hids about a month and a half ago and it was a great upgrade.

got them from this guy, and he is in houston. next day shipping so if you order them today, you have them tomorrow.

hey can i get a link to where to get the cheap HIDs? they are illegal right? should i be scared of getting pulled over alot?

 

they are not illegal in most states (from what i heard), what state do you live in?

Only worry would be if you go with 8000k or higher HID color. I have 8000k in my RAM and color is nice but I should have went with 5000k like I did in my tC.

 

They are illegal if installed on any vehicle that were not originally equipped with HID.

ya im pretty sure they are illegal in CA. but so is a lot of things just dont overdue it and you shouldnt have problems. would you recommend 5000k?

 

5k is pretty close to stock which i think is at 4300. just make sure to adjust the headlights so as they are not pointing so high and i think you should be fine*.

You'll be fine with 5000K. I had 6000K in my 05, and they were pretty much white with a hint of blue/purple. I have 5000K now in my 08 (projectors) and I get a lot of color, but it's mostly from the projectors.

 

its fine if u have projectors... and probably 5-8K K anything more is kinda too attractive to cops here in CA

I had 6000K in reflectors and got pulled over for it i shouldn't have pulled up right next to the cop at the light... lol now i have projectors and my 6000K is still going with no prob.

*i am not responsible like ^^^^ said if u get pulled over lol*

 

i would problem keep the stock light housing. i just want a white look

 

hids look more stock when they are in projectors so if you want to be really safe, buy a set of projector headlights.

and if you get pulled over with projectors and hids thats an a hole cop.

Just get 4300K.
