Hey guys. So heres the situation, i've had my CF hood for about 2 years. The clear coat on it has faded a little bit. I was wondering if anybody had any info on restoring it so it looks new again. Or if anybody had any experience on paint matching it? Any ideas? let me know, otherwise i was thinking of selling it.

 

have you tryed a rubbing compound like 3m? that should bring the shine back up!

 

Well no i haven't tried that. But theres also a little fading due to the fact that it was parked outside for a year do you have any links to DIY threads or anything? Thanks

 

if you do the rubbing compound and it doesnt work
you can sand and reclear it or a body shop can do it

 

Do you know how much a body shop can do it for? i think i'd rather go that way, and if it's too expensive i think i'll just sell it dirt cheap.

 

nah not sure how much a shop usually charges sorry man
best bet is just to call around and ask how much it would be to reclear a hood
