I have 4300k in my tc with retrofitted 05-07's and 6000k in my cobra, and I like the 4300k better. The light output is better and I don't get anyone flashing their highs at me.

 

i deffently dont know what hes talking about within the whole pink look. sounds like a idiot to me dont trust him. go to www.hidextra.com there 60$ shipped they cant be beat its that simple i got h11 6000k and there nuts! cant go wrong with this product.

6000k look at my fogs on my avatar to get an example of what 6000k hid look like. It is like those beemers. Looks classy and not blue/blue. More like white/blue. Cops wont bother you with 6k but 8k you cant see much and the police will stop you.

 

BMW's have 4300k not 6000k. The blue you see from the BMWs is the cutoff of their projectors.

 

cops can bother you if its any color. as long as it didnt come with the car from factory, its illegal.

 

has anyone really ever been pulled for having aftermarket hid's...cops here in NC couldnt give 2 ____s about hid's

Was wondering should i get 6000k? from hidextra

i heard it may be too bright with the stock headlights and don't really want the cops ya kno

i'm looking for pure white, maybe a little blueish but mainly white.

Here is my 2 cents. I currently have the '08 oem projectors on my '06 TC with hidextra 6000k. I also bought the hidextra 4300k as backup bulbs. I use to have mobilehid 5000k. The hidextra 4300k in my opinion has a lot of yellow when looking at a wall, but looks white/yellow, but more white when looking into the projectors. the 6000k is PURE WHITE and hint of blue when looking into the projectors. My mobilehid 5000k was the best, it was noticebly whiter than oem HID. But the hidextra 6000k are a little whiter than my mobilehid ones and i like them a lot. You will still be able to see a lot of the road in rainy conditions. This past few weeks have been raining hard where I live, and honestly, i saw the road better than my halogens. I would go with hidextra, because for 60 bucks shipped, they are a deal.

 

How did you even get hidextra 4300k bulbs, they dont even sell them.

 

Thank you guys for all your responses, I decided to go with the 6000k HID kit and i'm installing it on 12/16 so hopefully its the right choice. So I was thinking, for the high beams, so they match the HID look couldnt I just put something like sylvania silverstars in the high beams just to match it better? What type of bulb would that be? SInce im switching from an 07 to an 09 headlights i'm all sorts on confused on what bulbs to get for the high beams and where to even plug those in at. I know most of you are like "you're crazy for worrying about the high beams and low beams matching" but I have some insane OCD tendencies haha thanks!

 

silverstars will prolly give u the best output as far as a halogen bulb for your high beam but the color will be nowhere close to matching the color of real HID

 

Sorry, I meant hidextra 5000k. They say its closest to the oem 4300k.

 

I have 8k in my 05 tc.. with aftermarket projector headlights.. i personally love the 8k, i don't think that they're too blue, and i also think they're very bright. i can definitely see a lot of with them too. just my opinion.

 

every hidkid has a different tone to em even if they are the same ''k'' (ex.6000k-8000k) mobilhids 8000k might have a total different ''blueness'' than hidextra's 8000k but the difference is.....150$(mobilhid) and 60$(hidextra) so in the long run HIDEXTRA FTWWWWWW

So the guy installing them is gonna mess with me just to be cool. He said its fine that I picked the 6000k over the 8000k but he wants me to do him a favor. He said when he installs it, he's gonna have me come into the shop, and he's gonna install both without telling me which is which "k" and have me pick which one I like most. He thinks i'll probably pick the 8000 and not even realize it and then look stupid haha. I'll play along since he's my buddy, but I think i'll pick 6000k.

I don't know about him though, he also said for the 09 tc the low beam is the outer projector and the high beam is the middle, and insists he's right. I'm 99.999964526% sure he's wrong on that seeing as i've played with an 09's headlights at the dealership. I sure as hell hope he doesn't install my ____ wrong cause he's so insistent on that. lol

 

uhm the low beam is on the outside and is the projector, the high beam is on the inside and is just the reflector part, he is right.
