Default HID problem please read

ive have my HIDs for about 6 months now and the other day the drivers side bulb when out. so i order a new set of bulbs, clip it in but it still does not work. i tried switching the new bulbs to the passanger side but they both work so its not the new bulbs. i checked all the headlight fuses and they are good. the only thing i can think of is the ballast. do ballasts ever just break like this? anyone have any ideas?

well if you have a warranty on it, contact the seller, it probably is the ballast, the only other thing is to test the drivers side ballast on the passenger side with passenger side bulb, that way you can make sure that its the ballast.

Good luck!

ok thanks good to know. im going to switch the ballasts tommorow morning, its just a pain cuz i have to pull the bumper to get to them. but the kit does have a 1 year warranty so hopefully this is it.

i did notice that when the bulb died it didnt just die all of a sudden. it faded over a period of like 2 nights probably. i dont know if this means anything

what mine would do was turn on, then suddenly turn off. i had to flip the switch on and off a few times before it turn on. after the ballast was replaced, no more issues.
