Default HID Question: wholesalehid.com or xenonlink.com

I was on the oznium.com website and saw and ad for HID lights, it lists both www.wholesalehid.com and www.xenonlink.com, both sites offer what seems to be the same type of kit for 9006 size bulbs, wholesalehid has a kit for $88 or $99 for a slim ballast version and I think free shipping and xenonlink has a kit for $135. I haven't heard of either of these two companies...what do you guys think?

Bump!

I'm sure there's someone on this site that has experience with either of these two sites, I just want to know if they're good quality or the difference between the two companies.

I would actually go with http://www.mobilehid.com/. They have great high quality HID kits at an awesome price.

What do you guys think about the HIDs Umnitza has? They said the 35 watt version shipped is $115 and the 50 watt version shipped is $165...

I wouldnt cheap out on HID's, yeah you can save $$ but they might cause you problems down the road or wont last. I would go with mobilehid, the lifetime warranty is just too good to pass up, ballast will go out on you and they are not cheap to replace.

I see what you guys mean about not going cheap...I think I'll save up a little more and get the mobilehid ones. Anyone here got pictures of these in 8000K?

The higher kelvins you go the less visible light out put there is, optimal is 4300K, thats honestly what I suggest or possibly a 5K kit, otherwise IMO its a waste

That's true, but I find 6000k is a nice compromise between look and light output

That's what I'm trying to find...a good comprimise between light output and looks. I've been looking at both 6000K and 8000K. I like the color of 8000K since my car is IIP, but at the same time I'd like to be able to see the road.

Well 6000k is white with just the slightest touch of blue. Normally the blue is created by the cutoff of the projector, but since I don't have projectors...I make it artificially with 6000k bulbs.

8000k is blue...obviously blue at all angles

I got my HIDs from operatic:

They're great, well priced, and they were very easy to install and came with everything I needed. I do highly recommend him and would buy from him again.

Dude, I saw another thread with a poll asking who had what HID kit, Operatics was number 1 with mobilhid in a close second. $130 shipped for a good quality kit seems like a good deal. I haven't seen any complaints on them either.

Oznium, as much as I appreciate your suggestion...I think I'm gonna have to go with operatics on this one. I still got love for you guys though! I ordered a bunch of other stuff for my car from you guys just a couple days ago!

I will definitely post pics of the HIDS and my leds from oznium once I get them installed!

Even at 5000K those seem blue! I really wanted to get 8000K but I don't want that much attention drawn to my car, my exhaust is already loud and I'm tinted all the way around, popo's always looking at me as it is. I think I'm going with 6000K since my car is IIP, I think it would look nice.

Go with 5000k. I had 6000k in my 05 IIP and now I have 5000k in my 08 SW. I'm a lot happier with the 5000k. It draws less attention, has color in it, and has more light output

Hmmm, now you guys really got me questioning 5000K or 6000K...I need to see some more pics to compare.

BUT, a bigger question I have for everyone, 35 watt or 50 watt?

What's the benefit of 50 watt over 35 watt? Is it safe to put on my car? Are any wires gonna melt?

5000K in the tC, 4300K OEM in the Evo

Brand new, they lose some color after they 'break in', all HIDs do this.

3 months old.

The easiest way to think of 5000K, is to picture OEM HIDs, but replace that hint of yellow with a hint of blue.
