If there is a lot of theft of HID kits arond your town make sure you install hood locks. I had a set of HID's and they were stolen. They stoled them by pulling the hood cable behind the wheel well. Now them bioches can't get to them because of my hoodlocks and by lowering the car they canT get behind the wheel well......just FYI for you guys...

wow, they actually unbolted the ballast and took it? or did they just steal the hid bulbs n' wires?

 

that is why i installed mine in the fender/ front bumper.....

 

can i get more info about the cable behind the wheel?

is it possible to secure that spot?

 

Well you can relocate the cable or just add the hood locks.....the hood locks go on the radiator support I will post pictures so you can see where my locks are....stupid me didnt bolt them but even though they would have had plenty of time

i work at a lexus dealer and see cars come in everyday from stolen headlights...and theyre not popping the hood to take the HID's out ..they just drop the bumper and rip the headlights out with ballasts and bulbs

 

yea really crowbar! pretty sure the ones i bought that say toyota came witht hat method ... on the ballast where the screws go in the corner it was ripped off..

 

My bro did the same thing, he put his behind the Bumper. If you leave the ballast under the hood it's to easy a steal. If you place them behind the bumper, they may think you just have different bulbs, they wont know where/if there is a ballast. If you catch what I mean.

 

i hope those bastards dont steal mine. lol but i dont go to sleep til late, and my dog will bark like holy hell if anyone steps on my driveway, along with my late night study sessions make it pretty hard to get me...theifs beware
