my hids that i got awhile back came with relays. i didnt want to install them because it was more of a hassle. i am not sure if its worth isntalling or should i leave it directed hooked on. lol i heard relays help the hids not melt the harness. true? should i put relay on or is it fine? kinda eh..lazy. just a quick question ^^

 

Put the damn relays on. Haha, it'll save you a lot of pain later.

 

If you're gonna use HIDs, then a relay is a must. Won't necessarily eliminate all chances of harness damage but it definitely helps.

 

Another advantage is by drawing from the battery there would be less power fluctuation going to the ballast.

 

yeah, id def use the relays, just make sure to wrap them in electrical tape or put it in a balloon to keep it from getting wet..water kills it.. quickly...

 

Yea, just install it. I installed mine yesterday. Only took 15 minutes.

u really need a relay.... or if u wanna mess up ur harness later and pay more...than just taking 10-15 min. to get relay on the harness!!

 

Well if your harness should get too hot and catch fire that bit of laziness and the $17,000 of burning car,well it is gonna suck...........relays are used for a reason with HIDs.....that is to remove and isolate the ballast from the rest of the electrical system.
