My GF has a 2007 TC. I rencenty bought her an after market fog light kit that goes in the corners of the OEM bumper. I also got her HID bulbs to go into the new housing. My first question, is every 2007 tc pre-wired for fog lights, even though they didnt come stock? Also I was told that installing these would cost around $100. I got everything from turbometal.com and see that it is not plug and play, but I dont wanna get into to much wiring if I do not need to. Hope this is the right post spot..

The ones you got should be plug and play and as far as I know, the harness and everything should be there.

Sadly though you bought the crappier of the aftermarket lights. Those are the generic "JDM" lights. You would have been better off getting the VRD or APT ones (they're the same). I'm sure the ones you got will be fine for a while but the other ones are higher quality (and IMO look a ton better).

 

Thanks for the help, do you know if all scion tc are pre-wired for fog? Is $100 to much to pay for them to install.

Yes they are all pre wired, there are 2 types of foglights that go in the corners. Apt/vrd or the ebay "JDM" ones like ack said.

The apts are direct replacement and hook up to the oem wiring just like the oem fogs that are in the middle. Its seriously like a 30 min install. The others I believe take alittle bit more wiring but I think are pretty simple too.

So it depends on which ones you got.

 

I have the "JDM" ones. The thing is that I bought HID bulbs to replace the stock bulbs (which I know ____es some people off) so I didnt know if $100 was to much. Sorry guys I come from the Honda world, havent gotten into the tc much, but working on it.
