Hose Sleeve Kits tC
I am looking to change the radiator hoses to blue but i need to know whether or not i would have to remove all of the fluids or will i be able to change hoses withouth having to remove any of the radiator fluid.
Yeah you gotta remove it. Cause you gotta take out the bottom hose too! Not too hard. Jack the car up if needed, look for the plug and have it drain in a bucket. Make sure the bucket is super clean so you dont put any contaminants in the coolant.
You dont have to remove it......
It will remove itself when you pull the bottom hose
Yes, drain it, or you will have one hell of a mess in the floor! If you decide to use new coolant, either use the toyota premix, or make sure you use DISTILLED water with the new coolant. This is very important in the long run. You reduce buildups as well as the chance of electrolysis in the case you end up with a grounding issue down the road.

dont sleeve it.. just get a blue Samco hose.. I had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS when I sleeved my radiator hoses.. all the fluid leaked out twice in like a 1-2 month span.. I thought I did a good job too..
how did you end up with leaks by sleeving the hose? The clamps on this car are constant pressure type clamps, so reuse of the hose and clamps should not have caused any issues.
the clamps I was using were not the stock constant clamp ones.. they were screw down hose clamps and they came with the kit, infact the hose clamps themselve were inside a colored end nut housing so there was nothing I could do to change it.. and I noticed that my upper radiator hose wobbled pretty bad (when idling) due to the added weight , that it made the screw come loose.. I constantly had to tighten it.. so I said screw this and just undid it all after both leaks
the leak was so bad that it was all over my transmission housing, all over the back part by the firewall.. pink, sticky radiator fluid everywhere..cleanup was a pain in the ___.

pictures of what the nuts looked like.. inside those 2 end nut pieces were the hose clamp and they couldnt be removed.

doesnt sound like the best setup. They should make the sleeves short enough to leave the very ends of the hose stock so the stock clamps would work. Would not look quite as good, but at least would work properly. But yeah, you can just buy the colored hoses.
