HOW TO: Tint TYC taillights
^You need to sand more. Look at the pictures. See how there is a flat appearance to part of the lights and the other part looks black....? Wet sand down the darker parts, then buff everything out.
No, I didn't wait too long between clear coats. I waited maybe 30 seconds or so, It was hot that day. About 87. I probably just haven't sanded enough. I only sanded for about 30 seconds. Ima finish working on it today, hopefully it turns out well, because it's smoothe and looks good otherwise. thanks
Hope this DIY helps.

Kennon, I'm just trying to find an appropriate thread for my question!

^This is what I have laying around in my garage. Is it okay to use to buff stuff out (like my taillights)? You can't control the speed or anything. It looks like some cheap ____ angle grinder my dad picked up from the swap meet.
You mentioned it to me last time, what do I have to buy to put on the wheel to be able to use it as a buffer?
I was gonna PM you, but I remembered your inbox is acting up.

^ Thanks Ken. Another question for you:
When purchasing buffers, what are the types of bonnets? Are they for different applications on different surfaces? Like terry cloth, woven or polish bonnet, I'm pretty confused.

Here is the end result for my tail lights....FINALLY......I present to you my "askin' fo' harrassin'" tail lights.
I became quite the professional and all it took was 3 tries and 2 days.

They look better smoked.
I still have my stock 07's.
I bought the TYC's to get rid of the stock 07's but after having them for a 5 months and noticing how just about every other tC on the road had them I figured it was time to smoke em'.
