now that i think about it and try to design one, its gonna be hard to design because there is so much space once the oem muffler is removed. Does anyone want to give it a try for a design?
what would be the best material and low cost but good quality to use for the design? Cause I wouldnt want to design something I cant make with the tools I have right now.

would it be inapropiate to design one similar to Ferraris?

except that it can be used in tCs with axle or cat back exhaust?

I love my tC but I dont want to use styles of other cars.

I dont know. What should be the first design be for? stock tC? tCs with aftermarket exhaust? for tCs with stock bumper? bumper mod?

I saw a stock Ford Focus at a restaurant this evening and the OEM rear bumper actually had an air-diffuser look to it. It wasn't too bad. I found this on the Ford website:

It's a little questionable with the big wing, but that looks similar to what I saw.

Just about everything is cool on a Ferrari. I will own one of those one day. Even if I have to sell my kids into slavery and a kidney on the black market.

that looks nice, but is it a true "diffuser?"

idk, i like the ferrari look.

im going to buy a book for creating my own vacuum forming machine, and then see about making a mold for the tC ferrari style rear diffuser for a cat back exhaust system and raven rear bumper.

I'm sure it doesn't do anything on the Focus, it's just for looks. I just thought it was something to look at for ideas.

its nice, it does look cool tho. I just want to set on a goal to create better air flow under the rear of the car and create a little more down force on the rear in conjunction with a spoiler. I think the ferrari style actually looks like it might work, but also its really just for looks, cause tCs will go for like 120-127 mph and i dont think anyone is going to go that fast.

nice look on the focus, i wish there was a zoom for that.

Properly designed aerodynamics can begin to have an effect at freeway speeds. Although I don't see ANYONE spending the money neccessary to achieve that on a tC. High power computers, windtunnels, ect.

then is project will be strickly for style. and if its a boost in anyway, then its a plus.

did anyone else get a model tC after they bought their car? I recieved mine this past spring. maybe we can use that in a hair blower tunnel.

"I want more indivduality with my tC" "I see a tC everywhere now since I've gotten mine"

Or you could just have a bunch of friends that engineer airplanes and could use their equipment and knowledge...

i saw a nice yellow celica with a nice body kit. The rear bumper looks like it has the rear diffuser built in. the diffuser looks simular to the ferrari on this thread.
