i live in CA.. whats the law say about smoking just the side reflectors on the headlights and the turn signal on the side view mirror?? the turn signal on the headlight still flashes amber.. so i m guessin its legal?? but im still not sure... anyone with more info, please fill me in, thanks

i dont live in cali but i think it might be illegal, its strict as hell in that state.

 

I got pulled over for smoking in my car.

CHP officer said: "So, where are you going to put that
when you're done?"

Obviously I would've flicked it off onto the highway.

I said: "In my car?" and luckily found a empty cup with
melted ice in the rear cupholders.



But for smoked lights, I have no clue. I'd like to know too.

 

it isn't that it lights up amber... its that it can reflect amber... for the side of the headlight (same theing with the tails in red)

side mirror...whatever.... doesn't matter.

as long as it doesn't hinder the reflectors too much... than i would say it's okay, but it does depend on the cop.

 

It's illegal.... but, depends on the cop to give you too much crap about it... In california, it's horrible and he can use that to inspect your whole car for anything non carb legal, which may get you towed... lame lame lame.

 

it's illegal... it's how the cop is... some places are easier to get away with it... i think it's pretty lame.
