We are the rarest and the best lookin! The dealer tried to talk me into FM cuz it's easier to come by... I ended up waiting four months for my IIP and it was worth every second!!!



IIP FOR LIFE!!!

 

I'm curious, have any of you other IIP'ers had issues with paint chipping, especially on the hood and front bumper. I try to take good care of the exterior, then i wash it, look at the hood/bumper and see dozens of chips and scratchs (which i assume are from small rocks/other road debris)..

I know Scion discontinued our paint code because there was SOME issue with it related to this topic..but what i'm wondering is..will SCION pay for our first repaint since the paint is evidently not that great quality?

any others have similar experiences with chips/scratches in your IIP paint.

PS. I think the IIP color def has the most luster of any of the color codes, but i just wish it didn't scratch so easily.

 

Yeah, my paint on the front end has taken quite a beating, but I've always assumed it's just because I'm such a tail-gater. I highly doubt they'll pay for a new paint job, even if that was the reason for the discontinuation of iip. Unless they do a recall or something but I doubt that too.

 

you should see under my door handles they are really sratched up. i am going to try to take some of that scratch soluvent to it or buff it out.

 

yea same here my car has some scratches!!! hate it!!! how would i fix them? other then those scratch solutions and pastes they sell at auto shops... they dont work... what do u mean by buffing it out?

 

Yup... plenty of chips in my paint too. From reading on these forums though, it seems like more than just our color suffers from this problem though. Just Scion paint in general is not great.
