Jack Stand Position help
Hi guys
I recently jack up my car to have my calipers and rims repainted. A friend came over and jacked my car and placed the jack stands. I told him about the arrows but he said was too small a area for the stands. So he placed them on the thick bars like rigges under the tc looks like the chassis fram itself and the nothet 2 in front are beneath the cross memeber strut bolts are these okay im a bit worried....looks solid though please help

I have heard of people using that before. Not too sure if it is good or not. I don't see how a jackstand wouldn't fit on that. That jack would have to have a huge head, because there is plenty of room to get it on that pinched frame where the arrows point.
He said the factory designated mounting points were too small for jack stands? That's not true, I'm sure your average jackstand would fit at the 4 designated mounting points without an issue. What was he using, semi truck jackstands? As long as you guys got the car up and as long as you place the jack stands on the right places on the chasis your fine.
