Doing the valve cover? Be aware that just painting it will not work. It seems that the valve cover is gas treated. So what you have to do is bake it and free all the gas for the paint to stick. This was an unknown factor and when paint was applied, and a air compressor was used to get the dust off, the paint just blew off. That is the purpose of baking it. It took about five time in the paint booth bake room to free all the gas from it. Just FYI

I have one concern though, Do you think that the heat from the engine and engine bay would get hot enough to harm the painted valve cover? And The extreme temp changed like going from hot to cold?

thats bs about the engine cover. i just sanded it down and put some plastic primer on it. looks great. and as far as the paint if its not high temp it probably will fade after time.

Trust me, when you bake it, you will see the vapors come out of the valve cover.

Now, anyone have any idea if i should be concerned with the paint cracking off under the temperature that the engine can get to
