Default Kaminari Hood & Fitment

Looking to purchase the CF Kaminari reverse cowl hood in the near future the only thing im worried about is fitment. You see with my turbonetics kit my wastegate is in such a position above the exhaust manifold that it literally almost touches the oem hood. If anyone who owns the hood can give me a exact measure of how low the cowl goes into the engine bay that would be awesome. If anyone owns both the kit and the hood let me know if it works. Thanks again SL community.

From what I remember, someone tried it with a Dezod kit (which sits lower than tubonetics) and the hood didn't clear.

Thats interesting but you should be asking whether the fitment for the KAM hood is all together good. In my opinion, the hood's fitment isn't as great as people made it out to be. You will have problems with their latch and the striker. Call them up ahead of time and ask if they have made any changes on the striker from the original design.

True in the fact that nothing is perfectly the same but there has got to be a level of consistency. It is possible to make great fitment on hoods. Their main problem is the striker which they have not fixed, well not to my knowledge. I spoke with KAM a few months back and they told me they were going to make adjustments.
