And why didn't you raise it so you can tow it without the possibility of damaging something??

 

my axle was shot.. bearing were damaged so i had to replace the whole thing..

i didn't want to mess up the alignment that i had done recently.. the only thing it actually damaged was my lip, but that was from letting the car off of the bed.. the tow truck guy didn't do it slowly and the bumper just caught on the 2x4 noob..

it's something with his suspension geometry... and putting more strain on certain parts.. finally gave out and next thing you know his car's in el monte.

 

it's the same thing mystik.. because i was too low, my cv boots tore and the grease of my bearing all went ape sh*t all over the place.. the reason for the tear, is because of the acute angle which is caused by the height of my car.. which therefore put too much stress on the bearings... It's bound to happen to anyone that's this low.. I warned cory (yellowxhoodie) about this too.. that might've been another reason why he raised it...

$1200 fix.. for being low when i paid 1k + for the coils.. -_- 2200 to be low. lol

wow they are raping you, its def not a 1200 fix, i would do it for 200 and a few beers haha. too bad im not local. athough it probably would still be cheaper if you flew me out there hahaha

 

well if you had discovered the tear/leak earlier probably woulda been an easy fix. but things happen, how often are you gonna look under your car but i guess maybe now some of us who are that low might just to check...i know i will

 

Yikes, that's an expensive repair!

Maybe some of the others that are this low can make it a point to check the cv boots say every oil change or something.
