Default Lighting question

http://store.racinglab.com/nomacowhproh4.html

I found these and was wondering how they would fare with this:

The first site are the lights (12V/80W) and the second link is an upgraded plug and play harness with 14 ga wire.

Now, will I still require some type of relay or will just upgrading the wiring harness near the light fixture be ok to run these lights? Engifineer, if you read this, I would appreciate your input.

Most folks just pop the aftermarket bulbs in regardless of the numbers and go and 99% have no issues with the factory wiring...of course you are probably asking because you have seen or heard about the other 1% with melted harnesses (I have seen a good number of post and pictures just here on SL). Here are my thoughts....anytime you run lighting that makes or requires more power than stock run a relay harness to rid the factory wiring of any strain. The harnesses you linked to have never seemed like a good idea to me all they do is increase the wire size for 4" or so in the circuit this does not free up any bottle neck in the system IMO of course I am no electrical expert by any means If you are worried about the wiring buy the bulbs you want and just PM me for a relay harness.
