I just got my blue xenon lights and was wondering how to take the plastic healight cover off and is 9006 high or low beam. thanks

 

The bulbs pop out from the back. You don't have to remove (and you can't without baking them) the plastic headlight cover.
9006 is the low beam.

 

alright i got it done but now have another question. They are brighter and blue but when your inside driving it dont look as bright ahead of you as it did stock. why

because you got bulbs that are less bright..

kinda obvious from the light output and what you just said.. wouldn't ya think?

 

what temp are the hids?

 

well there 8000k, and look brighter on the outside jus not inside while driving its wierd.

 

The higher the Kelvin, the less usable light.

 

so does that mean bmws and expensive cars cant see good, or how can i have blue lights like them and still see good.

 

The blue you see in cars like that is a property of the optics. The projector breaks the beam up into it's different colors. Like a prism. Higher end vehicles run ~4300K bulbs, not 6000K or higher.

 

did you get HID bulbs, or an HID kit?

HID bulbs are just tinted bulbs to look like xenon headlights. but the tinting of the bulbs dims the actual light output.

as for kits, i have 8000k, i see just as well as i did before if not better.

oh, and cars with real geniune fromt he factory xenon lights, like my dad's porsche cayenne s, and my brothers mercedes cls 550, are like driving with stadium lights mounted on the front of the car! literally, it feels like the car has flood lamps in the headlights.

nobody tints their windows to let more light in their cars, so why would you buy tinted bulbs to get more light on the road?

 

Yea. The bulbs you bought were just a tinted halogen bulb. Nothing "HID" about them. What brand did you buy? Those types of bulbs typically do not last long.

 

I got the hid light bulbs for pretty cheap from ebay. so if i order the 800k hid kit from say racingsolution.com for 200$ it will be alot brighter and will the lights still look blue and stuff, thanks

 

The bluer the light, the more eye fatigue. I wouldn't go above 6K.

 

I suggest sticking with oem 4300k bulb.

Yes. Blue-ish white, not blue blue. But I think the color depends on the manufacturer, some claimed 6000k HIDs will be blue than others.
