Default lisence plate led

quick question. i look in my manual and it looks like you have to twist the socket that the bulb is in above the lisence plate. i want to swap for leds. but im twisting and its not budgeing. im trying to pull straight out and nothing. im about to take some vise grips to it but i need to know, is it a twist off, or is it to be pulled straight out.

They twist off. I had the same problem, but with some pliars as suggested above they came right out.

If this is the 1st time you are taking them out, it will be a little tough. Once you get it out for the 1st time, they will come out easier after that.
