its too bad. not even a "hey we are still tryin" the last time they updated the thread was in July.

100+people on that list too. me being 1 of tehm (i was #3 or somethin like that)

dude i was just thinking the same thing!! i'm on the list too. what is the progress and where are the damn lights?

 

I brought it up a while back while trying to steer people away from them. I still stick to my guns.. you dont ask your customers to pay for your r&d work with a flakey promise of a discount IF they even make them. A bunch of you could have gotten together and contracted companies to make them yourselves had you really wanted to. Why should you pay them to do the work and still pay for the headlights?

And they still deny that those initial pics of hids vs non hids were horribly over exposed (I mean come on, the CLOUDS were even glowing in it and the headlight patterns were identical). Not to say hids arent brighter, but at least take the time to take pics of real ones.

But, the thread got locked the last time I mentioned that stuff.. But, the exact thing happened that so many of us warned about when they took peoples money: nothing. And I beleive they have even said when questioned that those who gave money have been updated and kept in the loop....... hmmmm

cause of people asking i contacted them directly about it and then they said that the place they ended up going to had some insanely long product development timeline.

so i quoted what they said in one thread and locked them.

i was on the list to, but i didnt care really that much. i used it as an annoyance point sometimes to people i felt like annoying when headlight topics were being discussed.

 

yea but you and i both know thats a load of bull. they saw it as an opportunity to screw 100 people over with false promises. then after look at how often they posted here. jlevi took their spot selling the same stuff they have at the same price wtih the same crappy customer service.... hmmm...

but yea now im just gonna get teh 08 headlights and retrofit those and i can guarantee that they will be better then umnitzas IF they ever come out.... which they wont ever come out.

 

there still isnt a set of headlights out that i like.
the 2008 headlights would be great if they didnt have that stupid gun barell tube mazda design. and to a lesser extent the lens booby.

 

yea the lens booby is the only thing i dont like about it either,

im gonna see if the 05-07 lens will fit, it probably wont but w/e haha thats it tho, i thnk they look great, im gonna try to find someone that can make me some clear corners for them too

nah they offered a refund on the 20 bucks if you so choose to take it because its taking an obscenely long amount of time

 

The original thread I saw said they would not refund it. But maybe they came back and said they would.. if so, hold them to it.

I would never even consider buying anything from that company after they pulled that crap. Besides the point of just being a shady thing to ask, if a company cant afford thier own r&d for a product, what makes me think they can afford to support it and be around if something goes wrong?

 

exactly why im kickin myself in the **** right now but yes tehy did post in the origional thread that it was non refundable, but then about a year and a half later they said that due to them tkaing for ever to even give us a damn update they will refund the 20 if we choose
