Default MobileHID problems??

First of all, it is NOT my intent to bash this kit, i'm merely posting this for clarification. I'm not too sure how many other people are in the same boat as me, but I purchased this kit a little over a year ago now, and have had quite a few issues with it i.e. flickering on start-up (so i decided to make sure my headlights are off b4 i start), flickering ballast which in turn caused the light to go out (i was waiting for the old ballast to come back in when the bulb blew), and now the other ballast went out causing the other bulb to blow, but not its outta warranty.

Now before people say that it could be "user error", its quite hard to incorrectly install and "plug-n-play" kit, especially for someone with a decent amount of knowledge/experience with cars.

Anyway, i've been pretty disappointed with this kit, but wondered whether other people shared a similar experience.

well the problem is that theres only a one year warranty, thus Cliff is kinda out of the picture at this point :-(. To answer your question, no, I have not contacted him, just decided to gauge other peoples' problems. Also, i've tried to search, but maybe i'm just expecting too much i.e. the HID kits should not last more than 1 year give or take a little...

uh yeah if you bought it through SL you got a 3 year no questions asked warrenty........give him an email and he will work with you..........you got the old kit or the digital kit........one has a relay and one does not......most problems start at the relay getting corrosion from people not using dilectric grease on the terminals when installing...humidity and rain cause a lot of problems with 12v systems that get corroded.......this could be the issue you might of had and it ended up beating a bulb up.....

I bought another brand kit through Umnitza group buy and those have given me alot of problems (one turns on but the other doesnt and i have to turn em on and off a few times for them to both turn on).

Maybe you just got a defected one or something. Get in touch with Cliff, hes great and great customer service

I did have some random flickering a while back and was out of warranty, went through 3 bulbs on the passenger side. Cliff still sent me a new ballast (digital which I didn't had) and bulb so, two thumbs up for that.

Two months after that my lights started going out sporadically (scary at night) and I soon figured out that it was a bad contact on the lil fuse box on the harness. Nothing that a new fuse box circuit and fuse couldn't fix.

Great customer service!

P.S. It took about two weeks to get a response through email though.
