Molded Eyelids ?
Has anyone molded eyelids to the hood and fender ?
where you have the eyelid then fallow the line between the hood and the fender .. then bondo the eye lid to the fender and the hood so when you open the hood that part of the eyelid goes up and the part of the eyelid that is on the fender stays on the light ..

ugh not feeling it. It will ruin the look because you will have a crease down the eyelid where the fender and hood separate. Also you will no longer be able to remove your headlight because the fender will now overlap it.
no I wasn't signaling you out. just seams like the whole thread has a negative tone. I just wanted to know if someone had done this before. I think it would look nice. and also thing it could be done with in a way where its still funtional . instead of molding it on to the fender just doing it to the hood .. but thats just me.
It could be done but I just dont know. I wouldn't trust it. You could weld it but then your talking about a 1500 dollar job. Welding it to both fenders and the hood then the body work would be allot. THen you have to repaint the fenders and the hood. The doors too if you want a perfect color match and maybe the bumper if your really picky and have a deep pocket.
The thing is then if you want to remove your head lights you have to remove the fender which is a pain. I thought about it a few times myself. THe thing that makes me say forget it is if you want the eye lid to be flush you have to find a way to either move the head light s in a few mm or even have the headlights redesigned to fit flush with the eye lids and after all that work I think its safe to say you designed a new Scion.
