Default Motor FX vented hood question ???

Ok so I recently recieved my vented hood from motor FX and I have a few questions. First I noticed the hood does not have mounting holes for the heat shield which is on the stock tC hood. Do i need to drill holes and put the shield on or is it fine the way it is ? Second how exactly do I get the washer nozzles out to put in the new hood ?

On the stock hood, you need to remove the black mat (heat shield to expose the hoses and nozels). From there, you need to use tweezers or something that's small enough to fit under the hood's skeleton and pinch the nozels out of the stock hood. After doing so, the nozels should just pop right off and you should be able to pop them back onto the CF hood. Some minor adujustments might have to be made for the nozels to fit correctly.

As for the the heat shield to fit on the CF hood, you need to drill the holes for all the clips to mount in place. On the OEM CF hood by FiberFX, there should already be indentations of where the holes should be. I have not taken a close look under the Vented FiberFX hood, so I'm not sure if it's the same deal.

If you need anymore help, PM me.

There is no rain guard type thing to protect it from water. Looking directly above it, you should be right above the space where the header and radiator meet. A few friends of mine have had the hood for about a month now and it was raining here in SoCal about two weeks ago. They haven't had any problems.

However, if you are still afraid of water getting things wet under the hood, you could easily mount some type of cover under the mesh grill included.

Well i finally got the hood on and the nozzles in. The only problem now is that becuase of the tubing having to make a right angle to connect to the nozzles I only have one nozzle working due to the tube pinching itself. Also the holes for the nozzles on the hood were WAY too small, I had to cut the front tab off of each washer nozzle for them to fit.
