Mud/Splash guards on a tc?
during an impulse shopping moment i bought a set of mud/splash guards from mcgeorge parts. i guess at the time i thought they were cool. before i get my lazy ___ to jack up the car, remove the wheels, and install them, I was wondering if anyone has pictures of a tc with mud/splash gaurds. preferably on a lowered and light colored vehicle (because you can hardly tell they're there on a dark vehicle). thank you.
my car for ish and giggle.

i used the search function, and found dozens of threads not pertaining to my question.

In the FAQ forum, there's a how-to on how to put on the mudguards, and includes some good pictures on a BCP. Keep in mind that you can't have both ground effects and the mudguards, and the FAQ suggests you don't really need to jack your car and remove your wheels to install.

I couldn't find in my quick 1 minute of looking any good pictures on white or silver though, sorry.

I put them on my FM tC, and I highly recommend them.
I think it's a good idea to put them on cause they will protect your lower rocker panels and the lower edges of your rear bumper from getting all chipped up by road gravel after some time. I noticed that Scion does not use the special paint that other car makers use to protect the paint around the area behind the wheels from chipping.
The mudguards look very good and do not look too big like some other cars have them. They pretty much dissapear when you have a dark colored tC like my FM.
Very cheap too at around 40 bucks out the door for all four of them!
BTW, you do not have to take the tires off to put them on. Just use a stubby screwdriver and you can drill the required two small holes, one for each side for the rear flaps, from a slight angle. It's easy cause the material that you have to drill is the soft flexible plastic bumper stuff.

I have the mudguards and love the look they give to the car. However, I highly recommend having them painted to match your color. There is another SW owner here who has his color matched. He is the guy in the tC commercial with the SW. Here are some pics of my tC with color matched mud guards:

Question for you guys. This is the first car that I brought that didn't get a mud guard. I have factory kit on my TC, do you think the mud guard fit? Plus, will it look right?
D@mn, apartment entrance is always over flowing with water no matter what time of the day. No matter how slow I drive through it, there's always some kind of splash on my car after I pass it.

i installed the mudguards and they are totally worth it. i havent had to clean my side panels for a while. before every other day, it would get dirty. not so much anymore.
but if you're wanting to put the mudguards onto the factory ground effects kit, i dont think it's going to fit.
