Everyone's ok. Im in the local baton rouge louisiana area so if you want some parts, you better get it while its hot.

Usually i dont take the tc out of town on the 20's cuz it's too rough around here but i decided to paint the stockies gold. So slapped those babies on a few days after painting them and my bro decides to take it to new orleans.

I kinda blame myself cuz if the stocks weren't back on, then this would've all never happened. But yes its a brand new jp vizage kit. I had it on for maybe a month.

Ill be selling my custom tc trunk with subs. Ill sell my anzo's for a real cheap price if anyone wants to trade their stock oem tails. tanabe medalion touring has gotta go. i might keep my pioneer avic-d3. oh yeah and the front lip is still repairable so ill give a good deal on that.

The tow truck's coming to grab it on friday so i gotta strip this baby clean.

First. Hope everyone was alright...

Second. What happened?

I have to say it's a little unnerving for myself, as I just purchased a new tC, to see all these wrecked tC's (ones that look like their at the fault of the driver)..... I can just see my insurance rates climbing if this keeps up and these cars become labeled as crash magnets....

My bro was driving home from N.O. at 3am on the lake pontchatrain bridge (Near Laplace). It was late, he was tired, he was driving about 70, and all he remembers is the saturn in front of him doing a 360.

All of a sudden he sees headlights parked in the middle of the two lane bridge so he slams on the brakes. He has two options: swerve, hit the side walls of the bridge and fall into the huge deep lake and possibly drown while being trapped inside; or hit the guy head on and hope everyone will survive.

So he slams into the other car and both parties survived with no injuries at all. Im pretty sure the saturn is totaled too. Oh yeah the airbags didnt deploy either cuz our car was so low that when my bro was sliding, the front end tilted down and the tc kinda went under the saturn totally avoiding the reinforcement bar.

Man I'm glad everyone was ok. Smart decision to go for the head on though...

You mentioned earlier the tires could have prevented this. And as I mentioned I'm new to this car.

Care to elaborate on that? Are the stock tires not all that great?

That is unbelievable- so glad your brother is ok. Definitely worthy of the 'gnarly tc crash' thread...https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...962&highlight=

Hope the insurance isn't too much of a bear
