WOW! I'm so sorry, man. Keep us updated on what happens with the insurance company.

Last I've heard severe hail damage will make the car a total loss since every body panel needs to be replaced plus I'm more than sure that the interior of the vehicle got pretty soaked (carpet, seats, electronics, etc) I'm pretty sure that the insurance company will declare it a total loss.

I showed the dealer the pics of my car on the internet

His thoughts were how can they not total it.
Some kid workin there came over and laughed at the shots and asked me what sucker owned that car.

I think I made him cry

Sooo.....
The insurance company have qouted me $3789 to fix it.
Hmmmm unlikely.
The dealership I was about to trade it with said they would give me less on the trade in because it will have been repaired.

I am taking it to the same bodyshop the dealer uses and IF it can be restored to like new they SHOULD honor my quote. I think they will because they seem fairly reasonable car salesmen if there is such a thing.

If not then I will stick with my current tC, but it will take about 4 weeks to fix because of the backlog of damage.

Make sure you do not settle with the insurance Co. until it is ABSOLUTELY fixed. Friend had his car F'ed up here a few years back in TX, by hail damage and it did alot of damage liek yours... Waht they didnt see was all that water (rain) that got into things, messed up crap.. he settled, and down the road he had electrical probs, and other problems.. the car will never be the smae, and make sure they dont BONDO the crap out of it.. th t crap isnt safe. I owned a ZX3 when they first came out, and it got pretty f'ed up, and the insurance Co. tried to get it reapired by bondoing the crap out of my car. Hell no.. plus they missed a bunch of crap.. Gladly state farm reluctantly agreed that the car was totalled, and i got a new mustang.. you really need to make sure you check into the place where it is getting fixed, and get a list of EVERYTHING tht is beiong replaced. Parts lists, all of it.. trust me, it will help if you try and get it fix instead of fighting them for a total. state farm will total it if it 1/3 of the cost of the car.. atleast thats is what they told me at that time.. 3-4000 for that fix doesnt seem right? It looks more thatn that... just the repaint is going to be 2-3K plus the parts, and labor costs... doesnt seen right.. not including the interior... keep on top of it, like i know you are...

Bought turtle wax ICE.
That'll fix it right up.
The car is going in to Toyota's shop today and is being fixed solely to be trade in this week on a RS2.
I dont want to see that tee cee again.
BUT, If the dealer doesnt hit the right numbers then I will keep the current car.
The body shop is awsome so Im sure it will be as good as new.
