Default need help

Hey all, I took off my bumper last weekend to install headlights. After I was finished, I put the bumper back on the same way i took it off... but the space between the bumper and the hood is too big. Can someone see what I should do? Is it just that I didnt screw the bottom screws tight enough? Because the pins on top all fitted just right..

here's a pic so u guys see what im talkin about.

How's the fitment around the headlamps. Maybe the new headlights dimensions cause the gapness. The gap looks the same to me. Maybe repostion the whole headlight housings up more. Although, the clearance below the hoodline around the headlights look spacey.

The gap looks normal to me too. You're lucky it's a gap between the bumper and the hood, dude. I had to glue shims to part of my bumper to get rid of some big gaps under my headlights after I replaced them.

You won't need to take the bumper back off. Just fool around with the hood stops--the rubber pegs under the hood. Just a few turns on each, then check the hood by closing it to check the gap without re-latching it, then repeat until it looks right to you.

Don't adjust them too much, or the hood will not close.

Congrats on a nice install!

That's one flaw on this car that bothers me. It really stands out and interrupts the smooth body lines.

well yea atfirst i just thought maybe i just havent noticed it b4, but i looked at someone else's tc today, and it wasn't as big as mine. So i stuck my finger inbetween the gaps to see, and mine is definitly a lil bigger.. The gap looks bigger in person then on the pic, and its really bothering me >_<

It looks more noticeable to me around the top of your headlight. I think the bumper to hood gap looks pretty normal. But if you drop the hood a touch it may make the gap around the top of the light look better.

Pull up on the bottom of the bumper. If that seems to make it fit better, you stretched out the mounting holes on top, just like I did when I took off my bumper.

You can shim it with cut-to-fit plastic shims from a hardware store, or you can fill the holes so they fit properly like I'm going to do eventually with plastic epoxy.

Honestly, it doesn't look that bad. All tC's are put together a little different. Comepare a few of them.

I was thinking the same thing. Don't have these headlights but maybe the headlight mounting brackets are different in design or length.
