You told him you put that on there to protect them?

They make CLEAR protector film for that reason. I would have written you a ticket on the spot.

And then you end up having to buy 8k hids b/c you can't see out of them? TAKE THE DAMN TINT OFF!

Hahaha, yes, it does look pretty sweet, but yeah... way too dark.

I think that it's pretty ridiculous that HID's are only illegal if they are aftermarket...

That's like saying foglights are illegal if you install them yourself...

It's legal if you don't drive the car at night. well either way the only way you can see its tinted is at daytime, I just confused myself =(

actually no, it's not legal to drive a car that has illegal modifications whether it's night or day. Did you know you can get a ticket for having a headlight out in the day time too? yeah...cops are suck d!cks....if you get the wrong cop's attention, he's probably going to pull you over and give an excuse as to why, if he's really an a-hole, he'll give ya a ticket.

To the OP: I agree it looks good, but to law enforcement it's on a Japanese car...nuff said.

no front plate, plate covers, tinted tails...how many times have I seen that on Corvettes, trucks, and Camaros. Do they ever get pulled over for it??? NO! I've asked many drivers and they all say never been hassled for it...

Once you are on public roads, they have a right to pull you over IF they have reasonable cause...they can basically make up anything they want. However, they cannot search your vehicle or ask you to open your trunk, (hood...unless your state has intake restrictions like Cali) unless they have reasonable cause for a search, which requires a bit more "investigation" on their part. Like you are drunk, smell marijuana, or think there's a weapon in the vehicle.

and you never have to say anything to a cop. Even if stopped for a traffic violation, it's sometimes better to not say much to a cop, because they are more or less "fishing" for a reason. It's always good to try to get out of a ticket by saying "you're late for class" or something like that, but keep it to a minimum. The burden of proof is on them.

No i don't go there. I go to school in Miami. Your grammar was absolutely impeccable on the first page and in the title so I had to ask.

IDK what a "suck d!ck" but that's not entirely true. There are alot of bad ones that ruined it for the good. Cops aren't my favorite people as I have a couple strikes against me (black, drive a tuner, from California), and have known people to be profiled for being black. But there are some good ones out there, so to classify them all as "suck d!cks" is uncalled for and plain stupid and immature.

As far as the headlight out in the daytime and tint headlights in the daytime, that's stupid too. If you're driving it in the daytime most likely you drive it at night too. Also, does it not rain, sleet and snow? In Cali it's the law to have your lights on in incliment weather.

Lastly, I don't believe you need 08 headlights for the 08 tC. You can use any year tC, unless you just like/what the 08 headlights.

yeah i know my grammar was bad i was in a rush for my second job and i wanted to post it up fast. i work 14 hour days 4 days a week and 8 hour days 3 days a week. plus this is not a school paper so i use the internet talk... lol if you would like me to be all prim and proper i can...

and yes if i cant tint out my headlight anymore to be different then all the other tc's around my area i would like the 08's they look much better and oem lights are the best IMO...

WHOA! You need to calm down! First off, I NEVER said all, I was implying those cops who like to play "meter maid" and like to write tickets for frivolous or trivial offenses to make a point that they CAN and WILL be D*cks! If you've ever really talked to cops then you'd know that's one thing they like to do, lol. Secondly, my fiancee was a cop for 8 years, his brother, and father...I was raised around them and worked for the Torrance PD, so yeah I'm fully aware. I'm talking about the ones who ARE a-holes, obviously. and GUESS WHAT!? They LOOOVE to work patrol!

As far as the headlight out in the daytime and tint headlights in the daytime, that's stupid too. If you're driving it in the daytime most likely you drive it at night too. Also, does it not rain, sleet and snow? In Cali it's the law to have your lights on in incliment weather.
dunno if this is directed at me...but in my OPINION, any cop who gives a ticket right off the bat to someone in the DAYTIME with a headlight out or headlight tint is a D*ck. Period. Again, with the trivial ticket writing, where a warning would be sufficient.

Now if you're pulled over a second time for the same offense and get a ticket, then that's just Darwin biting you in the ___.

A little reading and research goes a long way. :\

I'd give a ticket for a headlight out in the daytime. You know why? Because then you have to either fix it and go to court proving you fixed it (and then I would just drop the ticket), or pay the fine.

^Have you ever been written a ticket for a lesser infraction than speeding?

well, please don't transfer over here (WA), cuz from what I've been told there are no such things as Fix-A-Tickets here.

Another thing, most people don't even know their headlight is out unless you tell them. And having to go to court for something that trivial is just a H-A-S-S-L-E, especially if your last name isn't within the first 4 letters of the alphabet, lol.
