Default Need new front bumper

I have a dent on my driver's side that caused a crack in the middle of the bumper. I'm getting work done on the dent but i'm wondering if:

1.i should replace the bumper altogether and

2. if i were to replace the front bumper, where would i get a stock one/ should i get the front bumper to a body kit?

if you really want pics of the crack tell me[/img]

I would say get a new bumper. Check the Classifieds here (you can't make a post, but you can browse the FS ones), check eBay, check Craigslist, and check your local junk yards. Worst case a new OEM bumper is something like $250 or so (I think).

hmm well i'm checking out craigslist and i'm waiting for some replies. I'm not really going to bother with junk yards because they are kinda far from where i live (suburbs ftl). Besides the people that own tcs that are in the junkyard in my area probably totaled them doing something stupid so thats pretty much out of the question. But at last resort i'll head over to one.

What is everyone's opinion on getting a front bumper from a body kit? i don't want a super ricey one and i don't need room for an intercooler, etc. i kinda like the kaminari bumper but i'm not sure just yet. suggestions?

A new unpainted OEM front bumper is $261.14.
Trust me on that, I called the dealership earlier today.

And yes, you'll need paint, because I stated that it was unpainted.

i'll save you some time, everybody's opinion on having just the front bumper to a body kit is no, it'll look stupid because the lines and theme won't match up with the rest of the car, so it really isn't worth it.

just get an oem bumper, it costs $230 dollars plus sales tax for a brand new one from a dealership, then your looking at a couple hundred for it to be painted to match the car for a good job.

alright, i wasn't too invested in the idea of a body kit bumper i hate the way a majority of cars with body kits look anyway.

i'll talk to the dealership and see how much they want for a new bumper. thanks guys

actually, the front is referred to as a bumper cover...the bumper itself is behind the plastic front piece.

well, first off, that is an OEM bumper cover, notice that it says it is CAPA certified. that is an aftermarket knock-off of the OEM bumper, so it brings up the question of fit and finish and build quality.

http://www.capacertified.org/home.asp

http://www.capacertified.org/whatparts.asp

it says they are tested and whatnot, but i am not familiar with them. but it still might not be the same quality as OEM bumper covers.

thanks for all the help, i think that it would be good, i'll look around to see if anyone has bought from them because thats an excellent deal. Alright another question though, on the front driver side, is it possible to replace the paneling or do i have to just get it repaired?

try Ebay too, can find refinished/primed ones for a better price than the first one listed
