I had state farm and was never really satisified. They over quoted my truck 1000 dollars. I find it hard to believe that there would be frame damage but hey you never know. Maybe I missed something but why is everyone saying your friend should buy you a new car. His insurance will pick up the tab. But at any rate just from the photos it doenst look too bad but it also needs to be inspected to see all the damage. In NJ they have already made it illegal to talk on the phone while driving and I have read somewhere they are trying to make illegal texting while driving.

Funny that they made talking illegal before txting seems a bit backwards to me, but at least they are on the right track.

What he meant by them being smashed is that with most small unibody cars these days, if they get twisted up you throw em out basically. The unibodies can be very difficult to get tweaked back into shape without comprimising structural integrity.

O and the guy who quoted us opened my door and said he could sense the car was an inch forward if you have any idea what that is...
Cause the door was making a weird squeeky noise like it was rubbing against something.

Looks to me like what made the glass break is the hatch glass moving up into it. One of them had to give. IMO the hatch and bumper took the majority of impact.

I got in a rear-end accident that barely dislodged the bumper, but from me kicking the door open so hard out of adrenaline/fear it bent the hinges enou to throw off fitment.

Highly doubt the car is totaled from that... if it is i'm going to be rethinking just how safe a scion really is. If it's folding like a can of soda from a 10mph impact i'd hate to be in a hard collision.

Ya, with the way the TC's are built I would not be suprised if it is totaled.

Sucks to see a fellow SW TC hit the dust.

I hate to say this but

its not totaled trust me. i worked at a production shop recently. We had an accord that was rolled over. we replaced 2 quarter panels, 1/5 of th frame, and replaced the floor board in the rear n trunk. All covered by insurance. took a week and about 6500. No such thing as totaled!

PS your rear bumper and garnish are fine. Just needs to be refinished.
