Question New headlights...

I'm wanting some opinions on what to do next. I got these headlights off of e-bay. I know, I know, let the flaming begin. But I want to go back to stock 07's with the led halo's. I'm undecided on if I want to paint the inside of the housing or not. Let me know what you guys think. I'm thinking I'm going to paint them white, and then smoke them lightly. Just looking for some feed back. Here's some pictures of my car. I smoked the fog's so they wouldn't blind people anymore, and so they would blend better with all the black in the front of my car, but this is before that...

I always hated when people painted the inside of the headlights, especially on white. On dark cars it looks alright but on white too me it just looks cheap.

Just mod the headlights you have. Get new lenses. Then a projector for the high beam... LED swap! Do it.

I don't mind those ebay lights. Don't look bad on there.

DO IT. I did it and it's one of my favorite mods. I used the stock lights but its the same thing. I painted the insides white and blacked out the reflectors.

I think it looks sexier with the insides painted white.

I agree, doesn't look good when headlights are painted white, looks real cheap/cheezy. Other colors look fine, just smoke the ones you have don't paint.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll stick with the stock 07's and put the new led halos in. A light smoking and they'll be good to go. I'm not too keen on the "glitter" they put into the plastic though, so maybe I'll paint the inside a nice semi-gloss black.

@No-Tec
Yours look sweet, but My car is a lil too stock to pull it off. Maybe after I get wheels and a lip kit.

Get some Spec stock headlights. That way you don't have that ugly chrome section at the top.

to me, chrome is rice. i made a point to strip all the silver off of my car and the lights were the last to go. i dont think ive seen many other people do it but i havent looked that much either, the only cars off the top of my head ive seen on the streets are corvettes but they come stock like that color matched. but eh, to each his own and good luck with whatever you decide to do. do what you think looks best not what a bunch of forums lurkers say, me included.

Yae, I'm for sure getting rid of the chrome. I have two sets of 07's. So I might mess around with the reflectors too, and see what I can do there. Maybe smoke them or paint them high gloss black. Idk. I'll keep everyone posted though.

Smoking the reflectors is illegal too because it reduces the output in lumens of light reflected... that being said, I'd rather see them smoked if you're going to have it apart already instead of painted considering one of your marker lights is behind it. Additionally, cops won't be able to tell that they aren't DOT legal if you get pulled over, inspections might not go so well depending on your city/state. I guess technically, HID's are illegal in any car if they did not come OEM anyhow. Bottom line, who cares about these silly laws lol.
