Default New Tails install, all lights fine but parking. Fuse issue?

So I'm doing a new taillight install and all the other lights are fine: brake lights, turn signal, reverse light. But nothing happens when I turn my headlights on, I get no light from the back. Is this a fuse issue?

I already had to replace the STOP (#9, 10A) fuse once because the LED plug was reversed. Installed the other tail, no problems.

Any ideas? I'm gonna go back outside and reassemble the bumper etc then check this thread again. Thanks!

do your running lights come on in your headlights?

So it was the tail light fuse, #16, yeah. These are for the running lights when my headlights are on, all the other lights work great.

Two problems:

1. I went to Autozone and they didn't have the little mini fuses like what the Scion's use. I bought the smallest I could find, they seemed to fit.

2. So I installed one of the new 10A longer fuses, and it blew. So I put the spare 20A fuse from the fuse panel cover in - it blew too. I put the spare 30A fuse from the fuse panel cover in - it blew too. So for some reason, all three lights (turn signal, reverse, and brakes) are fine without the running lights on, but turn the running lights on and BAM I'm killing fuses.

Next up, I'm going to unhook each of the lights to see if a specific one of them is what is blowing the fuse, that way I'll know which one to focus on.

What kind of LED tail lights do you have?
Don't put a higher amp fuse in place of the 10A fuse because you might melt the wire harness.
Check with Kragan auto store they should have the fuse for the tC.

Actually I didn't have to switch the wiring, I just unplugged the LED and then reversed that plug, and that fixed everything but the running lights.

It could be that something is wrong with the wiring for the running lights, but I don't know which of the wires is related to the running lights.

Fortunately I don't have to go anywhere for the next 3-4 days, and if I do I can still drive my other car.

Time to e-mail the vendor I guess.

I followed the instructions in this thread, that fixed it:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...r=asc&&start=0

It seems like they are coming mis-wired from the factory, so it just takes some rewiring to fix it.

It would truly suprise me if murrays or advanced wouldn't have them, i'm suprised autozone doesn't. Or you can do what I do, go to your local "walk in" junkyard and rip some off cars.

i couldn't find the fuses for our cars either at any autoparts store. They're micro-fuses that I had to get from Scion's parts department. They're like 2 dollars a fuse.
