Default Nokya/PIAA Bulbs

So I'm new to the whole modding scene, I'm planning on getting a '10 scion soon and most likely going to put some hyper yellow Nokya bulbs in the APT fogs.

What are people's opinions on Nokya and PIAA? Are they basically the same and its personal preference or what? Where can I purchase Nokya bulbs exactly? On the PIAA website it has purchase right there next to the bulb.

Offtopic, but my current car, a 2001 Honda Accord Ex and i have the stock terrible light output bulbs and i was wondering could i replace those halogens with some Nokya or Piaa bulbs? If so how would i go about finding the size and wattage used on the Nokya and PIAA websites for the bulbs in the headlights for low beam? I had to do some topic searching to find out that the bulbs in the APT fogs were h3 55w.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nokya Yellow H....4? maybe H3? one of those is the APT size. I get mine off Amazon. I'd recommend it.

Drop the halogens for headlights and go HID.

I'd go with DDM tuning. The company I'm rockin in my tC doesn't exist anymore, but I installed a set from DDM in a Volvo 850 and a Jeep Cherokee and both were happy with the end result. I was happy with the quality of the kit.

idk what size the 2010's use(And I ain't lookin it up right now, it's 2am where I am right now), i'll let someone else chime in with that info.

but yeah. Do Nokya yellow and HID's.

its Nokya H3 55w yellows for the APT fogs and yeah I'm going to get HIDs for my tC when I get it, but for the headlights i was talking about for my current car, the 2001 Honda Accord Ex because the current lightput of the stock headlight bulbs is just terrible.

I'm wondering where I could find the bulb size and wattage for the Honda so that I can replace them with some Nokya or PIAA halogen bulbs in the low beams.

honestly I wouldn't even bother goin Nokya or PIAA for headlights. It really won't make that much of a difference. I'd get an HID kit for the honda too. I mean you can get a kit on DDM for 35 bucks. How much does a set of Halogen bulbs run nowa days. I know my buddy bought Silverstar Ultras a while back for his dodge and they were like 50 or 60 bucks. I'd just go HID.

and for the size, check ur manual. if you still have it that is.

Well for the wattage on the DDM HIDs does it matter whether is 35w or 55w? Where do you put the ballast at or is there a guide for this? sorry, I've never installed hids

If you're feeling brazen you can always get HIDs top and bottom! :D

I dropped the hammer the other day and decided to get 5000K for both my low beams and APT's. It'll be bright as a **** ..and I guess..good luck to everybody else!

Yeah but they have VHT on em ..I'll test em out and if needed I'll lay down more VHT to dim it a bit.

i have the PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow bulbs in my APT fogs. they dont look as yellow as the Nokya ones, probably because the glass is not tinted yellow, but they are brighter and i can guarantee they will last longer...

on a side note i dont feel like being a d0uche and blinding people with 2 sets of HIDs...one is enough ;)

Incase anyone is wondering ..5000K on my APT's do not blind or glare like crazy. I have two to three layers of VHT + clearcoat and my low beams are more direct on the eyes than the fogs. I don't quite see what the glare hype was about. Some light tint and you're set!
