^True true. When I first heard of the TRD lip kit long ago and searched for pics all that showed was the Ground Effects kit.

I don't think you'll find a TRD sticker, emblem, or whatever included in the GFX kit, reason why I add in OEM. It's optional, yet factory equipment.

^Now that that's done, how's the fit and finish of the PU front lip you have, and how much lower is the body line?

 

It fits perfect you do have to trim it a little cause of the vents and lower grille but thats nothing.It sits lower than the stock kit thats for sure

 

well first of all props to the OP. I'm fan of that lip kit, nice and clean.

I'd certainly rock that one on my SCM tC. But since I'm lowered roughly 2" on Hotchkis, with the lip kit, it wouldn't take long for it to get completely messed up. Hell with how low it sits right now I have to be careful to not scrape.
Also sitting that low, I would think that if you got a flat tire, that it could easily bring sections of the lip kit in contact with the ground... which would tare the hell out of the kit.

 

also.. those arent the same either...

nismo and trd are in house tuners for nissan and toyota... mugen was never owned by Honda Motor co.

they are a 3rd party tuners owned by the son of the Honda Motor Co. owner...


and yes there is a OEM gfx lip kit made of CF... you can get it on ebay.

oh and i know im probolly late on this, but i havent been on all day. but there is still a company on ebay the oem/gfx kit in cf. this was the kit i was looking before my rs1. i emailed them a while ago but decided to just go rs1.

^Completely forgot that bBist had them made in CF, is the one being sold on eBay legit though? Stolen pics FTL. Anyone know if the install is just like OEM, meaning cutting slots into the bumper?

 

well he has good rating on ebay. he sounded pretty legit when i emailed him and was talking to him about making it in non carbon fiber. and talking to him abou the cf version. and yea i said the same things pics arent even his. but according to him when i emailed him he said installs just like the oem.

 

Hmm, undecided. I do have spare bumpers if I want to go with another lip kit later on, just so many directions I can go with the car.

yea same thing i had issues with. there is so many directions you can take. its hard to choose sometime lol. but i decided to not go with oem. cause i didnt want to hack up my only bumpers then want to take them off down the road. so reason i just decided on rs1.

 

finally got me a front lip!

 

nice. looks good. make the front end look even better then it already did. sometimes i kinda wish i would have done the oem front.
