I love the look of having Halo projector lights. However I'd want to have the halos as daytime running lights.
After some research I learned that they're not all created equal. The old led/fiber tube is dim and cheap.

CCFL's look great in the day however are delicate and require the inverter. However, I haven't seen any pictures of SMD's during the day. Will SMD LEDs perform similarly to the CCFL's in daylight? I want them to be noticeably visible during the day.

Also what are your opinions on this kit?

all those are gonna go bad really quickly...if you must do halos, ccfl's really are the way to go
