I painted mine red with some Acrylic paint and a paint brush. I also didn't have to take the wheels off. All it takes is some time and a steady hand.

I deffinately suggest doing it. It's a quick, easy, and effective mod. Not too many of those out there.

I paid the employee price which I cannot divulge, but the list price is $1795 with red black or silver calipers and slotted rotors. Drilled rotors and blue, yellow or gold calipers are avialable for an additional charge.

What is the process of painting calipers? I saw someone mention they painted it directly on w/o removing tires. Is this the easiest way?

i highly suggest taking your wheel off.. it is a bit more of a hastle but i dont think you want to drip paint on your rim so save your self the trouble. all it is is cleaning your caliper, and hand painting it with a ceramic paint. bout it not hard at all.

the problem is, i only have one jack, is it ok to take one wheel off and paint it, then put the wheel back and remove the other wheel and do the same? or do we need to wait the calipers to dry off before we can put the wheels back? anyone??

I say go clear. Remove the calipers and polish tham to a bright shine(lots of sanding, polishing, buffing involved) then seal with a couple/few coats of clear high temp paint. it's a bit more work, but I think it looks better.

Bleeding's not so hard. Plus, if you spend a little extra, you have a good excuse to put those stainless steel lines in. while you're at it, go ahead and get some slotted rotors. They aren't that expensive either. and change to better pads.
I didn't have a problem burnishing my calipers. they look fine. removal and installation was easy. Subtle refinement without drawing unwanted attention.
