people comon... quit puttin these rims on your car.... if your going to put rims on then do deep dish lips... our tc's car run a rediculious offset and it looks awesome! our cars can hold a 19x10.5 on a zero offset vipers run a 10 stock so this gives you a idea. i say custom rims or nothing at all =D screw all the pre made pressed rims =D

when is brembo or trd going to make the bbk for our tCs?? i can only find the trd bbk for celica, which is like the closest one. However, i did saw a few tCs with the trd bbk already, wuts up with that??

yea, but it's TRD man, it's more popular and well known than stop tech, which i have not heard of until now. I think the price is about the same? Anywayz, i painted mine yesterday and it took me the whole darn day~ but it turned out ok, thanks to the many info and advice I received from this site. Thanks y'all.

you've never heard of Stop Tech? umm what about Brembo, Willwood, or Bear. any of thoes? did you know that George W. Bush is our persident? and the year is now 2006!
j/k lol but i cant belive you have never heard of them. they are on almost every make of vehical on the road. they make a lot of kits.
speakin of kits, does Stop Tech make on for the tC at all 4 corners, or just the front? why dont all the BBK companies make complete kits? does it have to do with the E-Brake? Willwood does that crap too.

There are a few reasons why we dont make a rear BBK for the tC and many other cars.
1: There is little to no performance increase to adding a rear kit. There rear brakes dont get even close to the heat that is experienced by the front brakes and the added rear heat capacity is not needed. A rear kit may actually decrease performacne due to the increased weight of a BBK over the small stock rear parts.
2. The rear parking brake assembly requires a deep hat which wastes a lot of metal and takes a lot time to machine. This ends up making a rear kit cost even more than a front kit which makes the performance for your dollar very low.
3. The front brakes we sell are designed to work with the stock rear brakes to promote ideal balance. Other companies dont do the testing we do and have to offer a rear kit to get the balance back in line.
We know that from a visual aspect a rear kit looks nicer than stock with the front BBK but it really is completely unecessary from a performance aspect.

^yea you should take em off, its not hard, the worst part is bleeding the brakes when your done, we had to bleed mine 3 times afterwards before they were working completely again. I painted mine green with high heat spray paint. Took of all the calipers and brackets, used brake cleaner and a iron scrub brush to get all the crap off em, then let em dry, and gave em 4 or 5 coats of spray paint, let them dry again, and popped em back on.

People keep talking about painting their calipers silver, but isn't that the way they come? I bought my tC with silver calipers. It's bright silver too, not a dark silver-ish color like on most cars. If people are interested, I can snap a pic of it.
