I only painted my front calipers, i think it looks better.

What did everyone anyone else do?

 

As long as you like, who cares what people think.

BUT, IMHO it would not look complete to only paint the front calipers.

 

Painted calipers are a poor man's bbk IMO. I wouldn't ever do it unless it was to paint them black to hide them.

there is nothing bbk about them. just to make them stand out doesn't mean you're trying to have a bbk

 

Well from what I've seen and heard, a lot of people started painting their calipers to make them look like they have a BBK at first glance - since many BBKs have red or other color calipers that seem to stand out (not all of them though, obviously).

Of course this is obviously not why everyone paints them... but just not my thing.

 

i painted my front and rear calipers red... not to make it look like a BBK. i'm assuming the people who would notice and like my calipers would be car savvy enough to see that they're stock size. i just think it looks a lot better matched with my black mesh wheels

 

its called attention to detail...


PLUS, why does everyone feel that the tc needs a bbk? Stoptech stage 2 (slotted rotors, SS lines, new pads and brake fluid) is all you'll ever need! Unless you're strictly auto-x or show...

 

I love the look of red calipers,I have red leather in my car so it really flows with my color scheme, Iv done it to all 3 cars iv had. Im ganna paint my rear tomarrow.

 

Even for autox a BBK is overkill. Maybe if the car is turbo'd and you're going to be doing track days or road racing... that would be the only thing I'd see possibly needing one for.

 

i painted mine black...yea i like the stealth look....red got played out and kinda looks tacky. unless you really fixed up the car, (i guess)

 

I actually just painted all of mine silver. I know it sounds pointless since they're already almost silver but they look so much nicer. I have the RS1 Enkeis so my calipers show a lot. I'll post a picture once I take one, but I love them this way. They go with my look, too, since I have "blinged" emblems lol.

I'm for it though.. well, to each their own. I didn't do it in any way to make them look like some brand that they're not.

I used the G2 paint kit with a little black added to make a darker PURPLE, then what came with the kit. It looked to pink and I wasn't going for that. I had a freind that painted his yellow.

I think mine look gross and need to be painted they stand out alot
